Design and Technology Teacher 

An opportunity now exists for a Design and Technology Teacher to join our team of hard working, dedicated professionals. Located within our STEM Department, this full-time permanent teaching position will commence Term 1 2024. We are looking for a passionate and professional educator with experience teaching Design and Technology to students in Years 7-10, with demonstrated success teaching Senior classes in an environment committed to excellence.

Finance Officer (Purchasing, Payables & Property)

An opportunity now exists for a full-time Finance Officer to join our team of dedicated professionals. Located within the Business Services and Finance team, the Finance Officer is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the school’s purchasing and payables policies and associated management information systems & practices. Key duties include:

  • Manage all payments and expenditures.
  • Implement and maintain modern, efficient, and effective purchasing workflows.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Maintaining security and conciseness of Supplier details.
  • Paying vendors by scheduled payment and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit.
  • Seek and realise payment incentives where practical and beneficial to the School.
  • Preparing analysis of events/accounts and producing monthly reports on request.

Additionally, this role will also provide support in property and asset administration.

About You 

You are a passionate individual who possess’ the following:

  • Certificate III in Business or similar;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, with a strong background in purchasing and accounts payable; 
  • A strong degree of computer literacy, competent with Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting systems; and
  • Ongoing competency and agility to adapt and potentially implement new systems and workflows.

You will also have:

  • The ability to work well within a team or autonomously;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders;
  • Display integrity, loyalty and commitment to maintaining the utmost confidentiality and meeting privacy requirements;

Head of Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA)

A new opportunity exists for an experienced leader with a passion for fostering creativity and nurturing artistic talent in students, to join our outstanding Leaders of Learning team as the Head of Creative and Performing Arts (Head of CAPA) at the commencement of the 2024 school year.

Leading our vibrant Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) Department, which encompasses the subjects of Music, Visual Arts and Drama, you will value innovation, creativity and a deep appreciation for the arts as essential components of a comprehensive education. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Teaching, your primary role will be to directly influence the quality of teaching and learning within the faculty, to deliver outstanding academic results and be responsible for delivering an innovative co-curricular programme as a part of the Co-Curricular Leadership team. You will also have an acute interest in:

  • Collaborating with your team to develop and implement an arts strategy that aligns with the school’s strategic objectives, RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values and is designed to elevate our students’ artistic achievements and the reputation of the CAPA department within the school and broader community.
  • Leading a team by providing clear direction on short, medium and long term planning for each faculty, initiating appropriate professional development and leading professional learning conversations that promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

You are a passionate educator and leader who has:

  • Tertiary Teaching qualification in creative and performing arts with an extensive background as an educational Leader;
  • Knowledge of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, National Professional Standards for Teachers;
  • Strategic capability and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement a department-wide strategy that aligns to the strategic objectives of the school;
  • Led an innovative creative and performing arts department that has delivered exceptional academic results and a co-curricular programme that elevates the reputation of the school in the performing arts space within the school and wider community;
  • A demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate learning and teaching programmes using comprehensive knowledge of curriculum assessment and reporting requirements;
  • Excellent knowledge of contemporary educational issues and directions, particularly in the creative and performing arts space;
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate with and mentor staff to help review, modify and expand their repertoire of teaching strategies to enable students to use knowledge, skills, problem solving as well as critical and creative thinking;
  • The ability to foster positive relationships with students, with a commitment to personal growth;
  • Experience in negotiating and resolving complex matters involving students and families;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, is an exceptional communicator and is able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both in and outside of the school;
  • Ability to successfully manage conflict and facilitate the resolution process effectively;
  • A proven history as a lifelong learner and possesses a genuine desire for self-improvement;
  • A passion for student wellbeing; and
  • A valid Working with Children’s Check.

Experience in musical performance is desirable but not essential.
