A Special Announcement: The National Redress Scheme

7 May 2021

The National Redress Scheme provides acknowledgement and support to people who experienced institutional child sexual abuse. The scheme was created in response to recommendations by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse which occurred in schools, sports clubs, orphanages, Children’s Homes, churches and other religious organisations, and other institutions.

Newcastle Grammar School joined the scheme as a supported pathway for people who have experienced abuse to be able to access redress.

Applications can be made any time before 30 June 2027.
