HRIS Public Speaking
Congratulations to Isabella (Year 6) and Thomas (Year 5) who placed first in the Poetry sections of the HRIS Public Speaking Competition. Congratulations to Adam Krause (Class of 2015) who has just finished Officer training at RAAF Base East Sale. Adam will start BFTS (flying training) in Tamworth next week for 27 weeks and then go to RAAF Base Pearce in Perth for 37 weeks to complete his flying training to become pilot in the Air Force.+ More
Congratulations to Karma (Year 11) who has been asked to sail a 50ft racing yacht from Auckland to Newcastle next week. This American yacht will be based in Newcastle in preparation for the 2017 Sydney to Hobart race. Our thoughts will be with her as crossing the Tasman Sea in mid-winter can be rather treacherous.+ More
Ronald McDonald house is currently at capacity with families and in desperate need of household items.
Sophie (Year 10) and Thomas (Year 8) helped collect goodies from donators over the last few weeks and has delivered toilet paper, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrushes, underwear, hairbrushes, Vegemite and Milo.
If you would like to donate any items, we are happy to collect them prior to Thursday, 15 June at the Hill Campus Reception and have them delivered to Ronald McDonald House and the John Hunter Hospital.
